SONATA 22 call for research proposals

The National Science Centre (NCN) has announced the SONATA 22 call, addressed to researchers who obtained their PhD degree 2 to 7 years before the year of submitting the proposal. The call provides funding for basic research projects in all research disciplines.

Projects may be planned for 12, 24 or 36 months. The total budget of the SONATA 22 call is PLN 200 million. There is no minimum or maximum amount of funding that can be requested for an individual project, but all planned costs must be justified by the scope of the research.

Applications must be submitted electronically via the OSF system. The application form will be available from 1 October 2026, and the deadline for submissions is 15 December 2026, 2:00 p.m. The results are expected to be announced in June 2027.
