Study Abroad Scholarship for Wrocław Students
2026-07-21Join a free online webinar on 24 September 2026 (10:00–11:00) introducing the use of plant in vitro cultures for the production of biologically active compounds.
The webinar will present the fundamentals of plant in vitro cultures and their application in the biosynthesis and accumulation of pharmacologically important secondary metabolites. It serves as an introduction to a comprehensive hands-on training course covering culture initiation, biomass scale-up, and elicitation techniques to enhance metabolite production.
The session is intended for researchers, PhD candidates, and students of pharmacy, biology, biotechnology, horticulture, and life sciences, as well as anyone interested in plant biotechnology.
The webinar will be delivered by Dr Agata Król, a pharmacist from the Department of Pharmacognosy with Medicinal Plant Garden at the Medical University of Gdańsk, whose research focuses on medicinal plant in vitro cultures and the biotechnological production of plant-derived bioactive compounds.
Registration is open until 23 September 2026 via the registration form here.
