We invite you to take part in the international programme CBSS Summer University 2026 “Youth, resilience and the future of the Baltic Sea Region”, organised by the Council of the Baltic Sea States.
The CBSS Summer University is an initiative that brings together higher education institutions from across the Baltic Sea Region, creating a space for collaboration, exchange of experience, and the development of academic competences. The programme serves as a platform for building partnerships between universities and strengthening educational opportunities within the Baltic Sea Region (BSR).
This year’s edition focuses on the role of young people in shaping the future of the region, strengthening social and institutional resilience, and fostering regional cooperation and identity. It aligns with the priorities of Poland’s presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States, which places strong emphasis on actively engaging young people in regional development.
Who can apply?
The programme is open to:
- undergraduate and graduate students,
- PhD candidates,
- early-career researchers and young professionals in the field of social sciences,
with an interest in the Baltic Sea Region.
Date and location
The programme will take place 12–19 July 2026 in Gdańsk (Poland).
Application deadline
Applications must be submitted by 27 April 2026.
