Merck Research Grants 2026 – call for applications
2026-07-01Researchers working in the field of microbiome science are invited to apply for the Biocodex Microbiota Foundation National Research Grant 2026. The programme supports innovative research projects that advance our understanding of the role of the microbiome in human health and disease.
The theme of the 2026 Polish edition is “The Role of the Microbiome in Non-Infectious Inflammatory Diseases.” The grant aims to support research exploring how the microbiome contributes to the development of inflammatory diseases and how this knowledge can be translated into new preventive and therapeutic strategies.
The competition is open to physicians, scientists, pharmacists, microbiologists and PhD students. Submitted projects will be evaluated by an independent Scientific Committee based on their scientific quality, originality, feasibility and potential impact on human health.
The winning project will receive €25,000 in research funding. Projects may have a maximum duration of three years.
The application deadline is 30 October 2026.
