Young WMU Researchers Host Their Own Session at the 13th Congress of the Polish Medical Diaspora

The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) has opened applications for the START 2027 programme, offering one-year scholarships to outstanding early-career researchers with documented achievements in their field.
The programme is open to researchers who have a strong publication record and who are PhD students in Poland, PhD holders conducting research in Poland, or researchers carrying out research or development work at a Polish institution. Applicants must be no older than 30 in the year of application, with possible extensions of the age limit in specified circumstances.
Approximately 100 one-year scholarships will be awarded in the upcoming edition. In the previous edition, the scholarship amounted to PLN 30,000. Applications are evaluated primarily on the quality and originality of the applicant’s research achievements and their most important research accomplishment.
Applications for START 2027 can be submitted from 10 September to 19 October 2026, 11:59 p.m. via the FNP electronic application system. Applicants are advised to carefully review the current guidelines, as several formal changes have been introduced for the 2027 edition, including a standardised CV template and new editorial requirements.
