Young Talents 2026 – call for applications

Applications are now open for the 10th edition of the Young Talents competition. Students and doctoral candidates can submit their applications until 23 March. The initiative aims to promote young people who achieve outstanding results in science and sport, or distinguish themselves through innovation, entrepreneurship or social engagement.

Both individual candidates and teams of students or doctoral candidates may apply in the following categories: scientific achievement, innovation, artistic achievement, social activity, entrepreneurial activity and sporting achievement.

In the first stage of the competition, applications should be submitted to the Student Affairs Office of Wroclaw Medical University at Wojciecha z Brudzewa 10 in Wrocław.

Applications must include a completed application form, a CV of the participant or team (maximum one A4 page) and a concise description of the achievement (maximum one A4 page).

Candidates from Wroclaw Medical University who will be nominated for the competition (up to three in each category) will be selected by the University Competition Committee. The final winners will be chosen by the Competition Chapter composed of rectors of Lower Silesian universities, representatives of regional authorities and business leaders contributing to the region’s economic development. The competition will conclude with a ceremonial gala, during which the winners will receive financial awards.

The Young Talents competition is organised by the Dolnośląski Klub Kapitału under the patronage of the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the Lower Silesian Voivode. At Wroclaw Medical University, the initiative is coordinated by the Student Affairs Office.
