The 23rd edition of the “Wrocławska Magnolia” competition has been launched, recognizing the best master’s theses devoted to Wrocław. Graduates of Wrocław-based universities who defended their theses in the 2024/2025 academic year are eligible to apply. The submission deadline is 30 April 2026, and the total prize pool in this year’s edition amounts to PLN 55,000.
The “Wrocławska Magnolia” competition highlights theses that offer reliable analyses of how the city functions or address key challenges facing Wrocław. In previous years, awarded research covered topics such as urban planning, environmental protection, urban mobility, new technologies and the quality of life of residents.
The competition also aims to strengthen cooperation between the academic community and local government. Many of the submitted theses propose solutions that could potentially be applied in practice and support the city’s development.
Organizers encourage graduates to submit their research and share findings that could contribute to the better functioning of Wrocław and to improving the quality of life of its residents.
