President of the Student research group: Oliwia Rataj
Characteristics:
The SRG of Clinical Pharmacology at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Wroclaw Medical University, was established in 2010. It brings together students from the Faculty of Pharmacy with the Department of Medical Analytics, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Health Sciences. Its primary goal is to develop young scientists' interest in contemporary medicine. The main areas of research carried out by the Clinical Pharmacology Research Club focus on optimizing pharmacotherapy, clinical pharmacy, and social pharmacy. The activities are based on pharmacogenetic research into the metabolism of drugs, conducted in the Department's Pharmacogenomics Laboratory, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) analyses, which involve measurements of drug concentrations in the body in selected patient groups. We study biomarkers associated with drug-related complications. Students also conduct numerous surveys assessing various aspects of broadly understood pharmacotherapy, public knowledge of drug side effects monitoring, drug interactions, and addiction treatment. Since the inception of our activities, we have also been organizing various pro-social campaigns and participating in charitable activities. We have co-organized several nationwide scientific conferences, and every year, we organize our micro-conference on pharmacology for students, not only from our university. SRG members fulfill themselves through their own scientific and research projects. We create opportunities for self-improvement.

SRG of Human Physiology
Read more
Tutor of the Student research group: Bartłomiej Paleczny, PhD
President of the Student research group: Katarzyna Zoła
Characteristics:
The SRG of Human Physiology, which operates at the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology of the Wroclaw Medical University, brings together students wishing to broaden their knowledge of human physiology by participating in periodic scientific meetings moderated by the Department's staff, or by taking part in research work conducted at the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, often in collaboration with clinical units at the Wroclaw Medical University and the Medical University of Silesia. Bearing in mind that Physiology – referred to as the “Queen of all medical sciences” – encompasses, at least to some extent, almost all (if not all) branches of medicine, we do not restrict the subject matter of scientific meetings and remain open to suggestions made by students. It is our hope that the meetings address the most topical, widely discussed, and exceptionally contentious physiological issues. Meetings are also organized to prepare for the “Great Synapse” National Competition of Physiological Knowledge.
Students who discover a research interest within themselves are invited to participate in scientific projects, which are implemented or co-implemented by the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology. We also leave it up to you to propose and conduct your “own” research experiment in the area of broadly understood autonomic nervous system physiology, culminating in a conference abstract or scientific paper.

SRG of Cosmetic Chemistry
Read more
Tutors of the Student research group: Dr Aleksandra Redzicka, Dr Beata Tylińska
President of the Student research group: Martyna Ostrowska
Characteristics:
The SRG of Cosmetic Chemistry was founded in 2024. Its primary aim is to develop young scientists' interests related to cosmetic chemistry in general.
The SRG's research areas encompass both the history of cosmetology and the raw materials (both plant-based and synthetic) used in the cosmetic industry. In addition, the SRG is also interested in issues related to novelties in the cosmetic market, as well as the safety of existing preparations. This SRG provides an opportunity to apply knowledge of pharmacy and medicine to cosmetic chemistry. Since the beginning of our activity, we have also attempted to popularize issues concerning cosmetic chemistry by organizing (in collaboration with other scientific circles) conferences on cosmetology and pharmacy.
As a Student Research Group, we would also like to participate actively in the Lower Silesian Science Festival. To improve practical skills, the club's students will prepare basic formulations of cosmetic chemistry (emulsions, creams, and soaps) in the laboratory.

SRG of Psychopharmacology and Forensic Toxicology
Read more
Tutor of the Student research group: Agnieszka Chłopaś-Konowałek, MD, PhD
President of the Student research group: Kacper Żełabowski
Characteristics:
The SRG of Psychopharmacology and Forensic Toxicology is the first and only scientific club in Poland to deal with the pharmacology of psychiatric drugs, taking into account the full spectrum of their dosage and the resulting consequences.
The interdisciplinarity of forensic medicine enables a holistic, comprehensive, and full-scale approach to dose analysis, ranging from therapeutic doses used by medical practice to potentially lethal doses tested in toxicology laboratories.
Understanding the entire mechanism of action of substances will enable us to obtain valuable results that can significantly contribute to the scientific development of our University.
The organization's aim is to foster the scientific development of its members while maintaining the highest standards in their scientific publications.
In addition, as an SRG, we plan to conduct educational campaigns to popularise the universally understood art of psychiatry and its conscientiousness through the best-suited individual psychopharmacotherapy.
