Free webinar: GenAI in Education – From Fundamentals to Practical Application
2026-01-26Laboratory microbiology relies on strong theoretical foundations, but it is daily practice that determines the quality and reliability of results. This webinar focuses on the practical aspects of microbiological work, highlighting how proper understanding of methods, technical limitations, and laboratory procedures translates into credible research outcomes.
Participants will learn about the most common sources of error in sample preparation, cultivation, and result interpretation, as well as the practical meaning of key parameters such as CFU and microbial viability. The programme also covers the role of quality control and good laboratory practice (GLP), introduces selected modern tools such as molecular biology and flow cytometry, and addresses frequent misconceptions surrounding microbiological methods.
The webinar is aimed at microbiology laboratory staff (QC, R&D, production), early-career microbiologists, students and graduates of life sciences, laboratory technicians, PhD candidates, and anyone interested in the practical realities of microbiological laboratory work.
The session will be led by Dr Joanna Śliwa-Dominiak, a microbiologist and academic lecturer with over 12 years of teaching experience, currently Head of the Quality Control and Microbiology Laboratories at the R&D Center of Sanprobi. Her work combines classical microbiological techniques with modern analytical tools and focuses on quality standards, result interpretation, and applied laboratory practice.
The webinar may be recorded and made available after the event.
Registration open until 25.02.2026
