Six New NCN Grants Awarded to Wroclaw Medical University Researchers
2025-12-09Kid AID, an application developed by a team from Wroclaw Medical University in collaboration with Animativ, received a special award and a distinction in the 26th edition of the Polish Product of the Future competition organised by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP). This year’s edition featured 152 submissions assessed for innovation, functionality, usability, and market potential.
During the gala held on 2 December, PARP highlighted creators of breakthrough technologies. As noted by acting President Krzysztof Gulda, the awarded solutions respond to real societal needs and have the potential to succeed on international markets.
Kid AID is a multimodal system supporting the non-invasive assessment of a child’s general condition and medical triage. Using artificial intelligence, the tool analyses the child’s appearance, reactions, breathing patterns, and movement to identify red-flag symptoms and aid clinical decision-making. The solution is designed to help young medical professionals develop practical skills in paediatric care.
The project received:
-
a Special Award in the ICT category,
-
a Distinction in the category “Joint Product of the Future by a Higher Education Institution and Industry”.
