2026-07-21The scientific and educational meeting “Diagnostic Tools in Laboratory Medical Parasitology – Opportunities and Limitations” will be held on 3 September 2026, from 19:00 to 20:00, under the patronage of the Warsaw Branch of the Polish Society of Laboratory Diagnostics (PTDL).
The meeting will focus on the strengths and limitations of current diagnostic methods used in medical parasitology. Participants will explore the role of microscopy, molecular diagnostics, immunodiagnostics, and emerging artificial intelligence-based tools in the detection of parasitic infections, with particular emphasis on the interpretation of laboratory results and their application in everyday diagnostic practice.
The event is intended for laboratory diagnosticians, biologists, biotechnologists, physicians, and anyone interested in modern medical parasitology. Participants will receive 2 continuing professional development (CPD) credits.
Speaker
Dr Agnieszka Pawełczyk is a laboratory diagnostician and Assistant Professor at the Medical University of Warsaw, specializing in laboratory medical parasitology, infectious diseases, and immunopathology.
Scientific Supervisor
Prof. Przemysław Kołodziej, MD, PhD, DSc, from the Medical University of Lublin, is a laboratory diagnostician and specialist in laboratory medical parasitology whose research focuses on the diagnosis of parasitic diseases and molecular biomarkers.
