Doctoral Candidates for Lower Silesians
2026-01-26As part of the University’s access to Scopus, you can now use Scopus AI – an AI-powered tool developed by Elsevier to support everyday research work. The tool is fully integrated into the Scopus platform and is designed to help researchers navigate large bodies of scientific literature in a structured and reliable way.
Scopus AI allows users to ask questions in natural language and receive concise, academically grounded summaries with direct references to indexed publications. All responses are based exclusively on content available in Scopus, which helps ensure transparency, traceability of sources and limits the risk of misleading or non-verifiable outputs.
A key feature of Scopus AI is the Concept Map, which visually organises research topics, shows relationships between concepts and highlights dominant research directions. Additional in-depth analysis options (such as go deeper / Deep Research) support the identification of highly influential publications, leading authors and institutions, emerging themes, and potential research gaps. The tool can also be used to support publication planning, including journal selection, keyword refinement and exploration of potential research partners. Selected results can be exported to SciVal for further analysis.
Scopus AI is built on the extensive Scopus database, which includes over 100 million records and nearly 40,000 academic journals, providing a solid and credible foundation for AI-supported exploration of the literature.

We encourage early-career researchers, PhD students and young scientists to explore Scopus AI as a practical complement to traditional literature searching. It can be particularly useful when entering a new research field, preparing publications or grant proposals, and gaining a quick but structured overview of current research landscapes.
