Free webinar: CRISPR/Cas9: principles of action and practical applications in biology and medicine
2025-12-30Cell cultures are one of the basic tools of modern biology and biomedicine. In practice, however, choosing the right model—2D or 3D—and maintaining it properly can be challenging and has a major impact on the quality and reliability of research results.
During the online webinar, Dr Anna Łabędź-Masłowska will explain in a clear and accessible way the differences between 2D and 3D animal cell culture models. She will discuss their strengths and limitations and show when each approach works best. Participants will see practical examples of how 2D and 3D models are used in biological experiments and will receive useful tips on how to select the most suitable culture system for a specific research goal.
The webinar is intended for researchers, PhD candidates, and students in biological, biomedical, and related fields who want to organize their knowledge and develop practical skills in working with cell cultures.
About the speaker:
Dr Anna Łabędź-Masłowska is an assistant professor at the Department of Cell Biology, Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology, Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She earned her PhD in biological sciences in 2019 at Jagiellonian University. She has also completed postgraduate studies in clinical research, biomaterials, and quality management systems.
