Wroclaw Medical University has entered into a strategic partnership with US Pharmacia, part of the USP Group, to develop new medicinal products and innovative drug formulation technologies. The collaboration brings together the university’s research facilities and expertise in pharmacy, formulation, and clinical trials with the company’s business experience and knowledge of market needs.
As part of the partnership, Wroclaw Medical University will conduct laboratory-scale research and analysis of new formulations, addressing specific challenges identified by the pharmaceutical industry, according to Assoc. Prof. Bożena Karolewicz, Head of the Department of Drug Form Technology, notes that this model not only responds directly to industry demand but also strengthens the competencies of academic staff.
The initiative forms part of the university’s broader strategy to expand cooperation with business partners in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences. It also underscores a shared goal: transforming scientific research into practical solutions that enhance patient care and improve quality of life.
