Success story of HeartLink platform
2025-08-27Wroclaw Medical University has signed an agreement with Prudnickie Centrum Medyczne, making the LekRaport application part of daily pharmaceutical care. The tool, developed at the University’s Faculty of Pharmacy, supports pharmacists in monitoring patients’ therapies, identifying potential medication-related problems, and improving treatment safety.
“Introducing LekRaport into real-world practice is a milestone for pharmaceutical care in Poland,”says Dr. Artur Owczarek, the app’s creator from the Department of Dosage Forms Technology. “Our aim was to design a solution that makes pharmacists’ work easier while giving patients a greater sense of safety and continuity in treatment.”
LekRaport allows pharmacists to conduct structured patient interviews, collect information about medications and adverse effects, and generate summaries with recommendations. This approach strengthens the preventive and advisory role of pharmacists, aligning with international trends in pharmaceutical care
The application was created within the research project “Analysis of Cognitive Pharmaceutical Services, Including Medication Reviews, Based on an Original Research Tool” and has already been recognized at international scientific forums. Its implementation is also one of the first successes of the Technology Transfer Center, established in 2024 to support commercialization of university innovations.
“The agreement with Prudnickie Centrum Medyczne is a crucial step in turning scientific innovation into practice,” emphasizes
Dr. Eng. Agnieszka Kowalska, Research Services Coordinator at the Technology Transfer Center of Wroclaw Medical University. “It confirms that solutions developed at our University can bring measurable benefits to patients and the healthcare system.”
The introduction of LekRaport into practice opens the way for further collaborations with other healthcare institutions. As more data is collected, the application will be continuously improved, with the long-term goal of making it a standard tool in pharmacies and medical centers across Poland.
